When we started Jackpine Labs no one could have predicted snow as a medium we would work with. That all changed when we realized Lansdowne Park would give us a massive block of snow as a blank canvas for our wildest ideas through their “City Snowscapes Community Snow Sculpture Competition”. Aligning with the competition’s “snow creature” theme we chose to create “Jack the Yeti”. Jack is a giant yeti head with a gaping mouth, inviting visitors to explore the sculpture from multiple perspectives.
